Preparation of solid waste management master plans for four governorates as part of Egypt's national solid waste management strategy, implemented with Cairo University.
Objective
Develop short-term and long-term solid waste management strategies supported by engineering and techno-economic assessments.
Scope of Work
- Assess current solid waste management in each governorate including generation rates and handling methods
- Conduct engineering assessment of landfills, transfer stations, and recycling facilities
- Assess the current hierarchy of solid waste management in each governorate
- Analyse results and suggest alternatives supported by techno-economic studies
- Prepare short-term and long-term strategies for solid waste management in each governorate
