Project Summary
Environmental and social consulting for NBE to review financed projects according to local and international standards.
Objective
Support NBE implementation of environmental and social categorization, assessment, and verification for financed facilities.
Scope of Work
- Screening and eligibility verification criteria for prospective sub-loans
- Conduct Environmental and Social Due Diligence (ESDD) for prospective sub-loans
- Conduct Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) for financed projects when required
- Fulfil sub-loan appraisal forms with environmental and social appraisal information
- Monitor and evaluate portfolio projects against national laws and facility policies
- Support Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS) guidelines and standards
- Capacity building for the NBE team
- Measure and report green investments and adaptation/mitigation measures (energy savings, GHG savings, etc.)
